    This is an affordable piece of original African art.  This artwork is part of our collection from a Bushman artists in western Botswana who are supported by the Kuru D’Kar Community Trust.  The Trust helps introduce the artists to contemporary materials and techniques and assists with the marketing of their art. These stunning artworks record the artists’ folklore, traditions and recent life experiences.


    This is a limited edition linocut, signed by the artist and comes mounted in a black wooden frame. This edition is 6/25.

    ‘Young Elephant Browsing’  2007

    Artist:  Kg’akg’am Tshabu

    Born in Ghanzi in 1944 Kg’akg’am joined the Kuru Art Project in January 2005. Her subjects vary between traditional life of her people and the natural environment. Kg’akg’am says creating her art gives her confidence and the creativity helps her recall things her ancestors talked about, in particular their life as hunter gatherers.
